Anniversary 2026: 125 Years of Management, Economics and Social Sciences – Prof. Axel Ockenfels on cooperation

The Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. Since its founding in 1901, the faculty has come to be one of the largest and most renowned institutions of its kind. In the context of its anniversary, focus is put on the faculty’s history as well as its significance for present and future developments.

As part of the anniversary program, a series of academic lectures will serve as a platform for dialogue between academia, politics, business, and society, while also showcasing the faculty’s current research and innovative approaches. On May 19, Prof. Axel Ockenfels will speak about a “better world” and the economic architecture of cooperation.
