At the end of april Professor Ockenfels was at Nuffield College in Oxford to take part in the Workshop of the “Global Commission on Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking”.
Professor Ockenfels and and others were responsible for the general introduction and an introduction to markets and repugnant markets specifically.
"The session brought together economists, academics and policymakers to discuss a broad range of interconnected issues, including the relationship between migration and vulnerability to exploitation, the role of AI and technology in both enabling abuse and supporting detection, and what research on survivors is telling us about the nature and scale of the problem."
